Dave Morley

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dave Morley, Head Launcher for Hastings LIfeboat.

Dave first joined crew in 1982 as an 18 year old and has been a stalwart member of the RNLI team in Hastings ever since, culminating in his appointment as Head Launcher in October 2008. Coxswain Steve Warne said, 'Dave will be a sorely missed member of the crew. As one of the longest serving team members, he leaves us many happy memories from over the years. He may have started as a volunteer but became a great friend to all of us at Hastings, where his experience has been invaluable to crew as they have come and gone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Debbie at this difficult time.'
